Who is the course for?
This course is designed specifically for non-native English speakers who have a desire to teach English but are not sure whether they have what it takes to be a TEFL or TESOL teacher.
The course will help you assess your abilities to see if you would be able to complete the full 120hr TEFL course. It will also allow you to self-assess your own motives and abilities in this professional industry.
Upon successful completion, eligible students will have the opportunity to complete the 120hr TEFL course. Also by holding a TeachMe TEFL 20hr Introduction to TEFL certificate the cost and required hours of the 120hr course will be reduced exclusively for you.
Course Content
What is TEFL? For many TEFL/TESOL/ESL are all new terms. This unit will clarify each of these acronyms and explain how these relate to your teaching career.
In addition this unit will detail what is required of a good teacher. You will learn not only how to teach but also tips and tricks to improve your own English abilities.

Grammar is the basis of language.
This unit explores the basics of grammar to provide you with the tools you need to teach your students effectively.
The grammar covered includes:
-Nouns and pronouns
-Determiners and articles
-Adjectives, prepositions, conjunctions and interjections
-Present, past and future verb tense
-Adverbs
-Verbals, phrases, clauses and sentences

Pronunciation is vital to becoming a fluent English speaker.
This unit details how to teach pronunciation to your students and also tips and tricks for you to improve your pronunciation.

These four skills, make up the basics of language. To be able to have a good understanding of English, your students will need to be proficient in all four skills.
